The publication of an obscene entry on the official microblog of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev occurred “during a planned password change,” according to the Kremlin website.

“Tonight, an incorrect retweet of one of the posts appeared on Dmitry Medvedev’s Twitter account. As a result of the check, it turned out that during a scheduled password change, the employee responsible for the technical support of the account committed unacceptable interference in the @MedvedevRussia feed,” the message says.

According to the Kremlin's promise, "those responsible will be punished." Meanwhile, the head of the human rights organization Agora, Pavel Chikov, has already promised that Agora is ready to defend the employee responsible for the technical support of the account who interfered with the president’s feed.

On the night of December 7, a retweet of a post by media manager Konstantin Rykov appeared on Medvedev’s Twitter for a few minutes : “Today it has become obvious that if a person writes in a blog the phrase “party of swindlers and thieves,” he is stupidly fucking a sheep :).” This entry was later deleted, but was preserved as screenshots.

After this, Rykov’s name entered global Twitter trends for a few minutes .

It is worth noting that the password change and message flow pages on Twitter are located at different addresses. This makes it quite difficult to accidentally click the "Retweet" button when changing your password.

Dmitry Medvedev has two Twitter accounts ( @MedvedevRussia and @KremlinRussia ). The first is used as Medvedev’s personal microblog, the second as a more official microblog of the Russian President.
