November 28. Tehran. The pogroms were ten times more than police officers
Quick response
On November 28, Iranian Majlis voted to reduce the level of diplomatic relations with Great Britain and the expulsion of the British ambassador. This happened a day after London’s decision to freeze all financial transactions with the Central Bank of Iran. And two after a mysterious explosion at a nuclear facility in Isfahan, where two specialists died. Tehran has long been attributed to the special services of Israel and Great Britain this kind. But the Embassy of Israel in Iran is not, but British - it is right there. The “popular” reaction was not long in coming: a crowd of radical students defeated the British diplomatic mission, throwing furniture from the windows, burning documents and flags of Great Britain.

| Assad's rally in Tartus |
An explosion in Isfahan is an even greater reason for despondency. Ayatolles were convinced that aggressive rhetoric is becoming a bad assistant for the Iranian nuclear program: the reactors would be destroyed not by bombing, but by cunning point blows. You can counteract this only by starting a war with Israel. But Tehran is preoccupied with a new regional alignment: in addition to the Arab revolutions, Iran received a serious crisis in Syria, where a chair was staggered under his nearest partner - the President of Assad. Moreover, it was so staggered that Assad was forced to use his own “quick response forces” - rallies in his support. The Syrians, in particular, are urging them to rally in the view of the inevitable war with NATO Turkey. The crisis in Syria, against which the sanctions were imposed not only in the “insidious West”, but also the League of the Arab states, are fraught with the weakening of the main prolapse in the region - the Hezbollah Shiite movement in Lebanon.
The rest of the pogroms is the usual tool of Iranian foreign policy. In 1829, an angry crowd, with the approval of Shah, brutally killed the Russian writer and ambassador of the Russian Empire Alexander Griboedov. In 1979, immediately after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran attacked the American embassy and held 53 US citizens hostages for 444 days. Sooner or later, a new pogrom will happen. Time in the Islamic Republic has long stopped.
