Now the news on RTR has once again blatantly and openly lied... But more about this below, but for now a little explanation.

In comments to texts in which people are outraged by the behavior of authorities of any type and level towards participants in street forms of protest, I constantly encounter surprised exclamations all over the Internet. Many, even those who are quite sane and who are not big fans of the current political system of Russia, sincerely do not understand, well, why are they, these Protestants, screaming with such resentment? You yourself knew what you were getting into when you went out to the square and defiantly violated the law, why throw a tantrum after that? Here I want to clarify something, as if from the opposite side.

When a person goes to an unsanctioned rally or march, when he physically resists lawful arrest, and sometimes even deliberately provokes the police, such people also happen in absolutely any crowd, believe me, this person really most often, we won’t go into mental deviations now, understands perfectly well, what is it going for? And he does not feel any resentment, not to mention anger and hatred, towards those who do their job and make arrests as standard.

Of course, it would be nice if even in such situations, on the part of the representatives of the law, everything was legally sterile and flawless. But all people are real and perfectly understand the peculiarities of the harsh street reality. In which, however, one can also remain within the bounds of what is reasonable and human. But even if a cop sneakily hits you in the ribs with a baton, deliberately tramples your feet or even breaks your arm, if, when boarding a bus with a disgusting, arrogant and sadistic smile, he casually pushes you against the board with all his might, as if he missed the door, this causes negative emotions mostly still personally to this freak.

But then the main thing begins.

If anyone watched the live report, which was conducted by a wonderful person, designated on the Internet as kakabadze, about whom I will definitely write separately, from the Tverskoye police station building, where Yashin and Navalny were that night, he watched this whole picture almost live. The head of the department told people who came to support the detainees to vacate the area in front of the building, go outside the fence, and for this, lawyers would be allowed to see Yashin and Navalny as soon as they appeared. The people fulfilled their part of the agreement impeccably, went behind the picket fence and began to quietly and peacefully wait for the lawyers. But when they soon arrived with all the necessary documents, they were not only not allowed to see the detainees, but with them, as well as with everyone else, the cops completely stopped all contact, tightly taking up a perimeter defense. People were cheated brazenly and mockingly, quite openly and without the slightest hesitation. And from that moment, true resentment, anger, and, among the most emotional, hatred began to accumulate.

And then exactly the same lies and bullying continued. They deprived me of my legal right to call, didn’t give me water for a day, drove me around, confusing my tracks across departments, and lied, lied, lied... At first, a thousand people watched a live report about all this on the Internet. Then three, then five. By morning the number of spectators exceeded ten thousand. And many immediately commented on what they observed on the blog. You can see for yourself how the tone of these comments changed from hour to hour, and what infuriated people most of all. Precisely and specifically the mocking shamelessness of lies.

Result. Overnight, the government gained several thousand sincere enemies from people simply dissatisfied with some specific violations in the voting process.

About the same Bazheny Rynsk. It’s hard to suspect me of liking this man. Her manners, behavior, way of thinking and actions evoke in me exceptionally contemptuous bewilderment with a tinge of disgust. But yesterday on Triumfalnaya her behavior was impeccable. Until a certain point. She did not shout slogans, did not wave placards, and did not show herself in any way as a participant in the rally. I was exclusively engaged in my professional work at that moment, that is, taking photographs. And when the arrests began around her, she immediately presented her correspondent ID.

Here I must make a reservation. There are journalists who introduce themselves only after they find themselves in the department. This is a way to gain additional experience and information. I won’t express my attitude towards him now, but will only repeat once again that Bazhena clearly at that moment did not feel any particular craving for extreme sports and showed her ID right away.

But then something incomprehensible began. The officer said that she did not have a document, but some kind of incomprehensible photocopier, which, like its owner, would be sorted out at the police department. After which one policeman began to snatch Bazhena’s ID from her hands, and another began to push her and grab her hand. That’s when she screamed: “I’ll tear your jaws!” There is a blatant insult to a representative of the authorities during execution. The three of them pounced on the criminal and dragged her into a paddy wagon.

And again, I must emphasize that this is not a situation where the unfortunate police are confronted by the superior forces of a brutal crowd that is destroying everything in its path and there is no time to sort it out, public order must be immediately restored, and everything else will come later. If aggression came from anyone, it was exclusively from the riot police themselves, who were even more numerous than the protesters and there was absolutely no reason to attack a woman with a camera and a journalist’s ID. Just as there was no particular rush in a critical situation, since there was no such situation itself, in a few seconds through communication it can be established that Rynska is really a correspondent of an officially registered media outlet, and not an impostor with a fake in her hands.

Result. The authorities had a glamorous lady, for whom a certain touch of opposition, at least I think so, was nothing more than a fashion trend for the next autumn-winter season. In just a few hours, we received a convinced, bitter and principled enemy, and a fantastically efficient, purposeful and very vocal enemy, and in certain circles, also very popular.

Now let’s return to the information that has been broadcast all day today on RTR. It is said in all seriousness that a hooligan crowd tried to block Tverskaya, the Garden Ring and block the entrances to the Mayakovskaya metro station. And the valiant police, using the most humane methods, restored public order solely for the convenience of Muscovites and guests of the capital in their free movement through the streets and squares of my hometown.

And the people who were on Triumfalnaya yesterday, who weren’t even dragged into a paddy wagon, who weren’t even accidentally hit in the face with a police elbow pad, who weren’t physically harmed at all, listen to all this and start to get a little nervous.

The cynical phrase of Medvedev, who has become completely inadequate in recent days, that all the video materials about fraud in the “elections” are fakes, Putin’s contemptuous words spat through his lip about traitors living on foreign money, the half-mad smile of Surkov, intoxicated with omnipotence, shining above all this...

I don’t know if I was able to explain where hatred comes from among people who “know what they’re getting into.”
