More arrests are underway at Gostiny Dvor in St. Petersburg, where a rally against fraudulent elections is currently taking place. A new wave began after a supporter of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation stood at the exit of the Gostiny Dvor metro station and began to sing the Lebedev-Kumach song “Holy War,” reports Rosbalt news agency .

After the pensioner finished singing the song, young people supported her with applause. This became a signal for the riot police - they took the elderly woman and young people into a ring and began to drag them to the bus, already the seventh in a row.

Two young girls, who were grabbed by law enforcement officers, fell to the floor, one began to cry and said that she came to the protest by accident, she was just leaving the subway. But she, along with the others, was dragged onto the bus.

Apparently, the police intend to continue making arrests until there are no more isolated groups of people left in the square.

Let us remind you that in St. Petersburg and Moscow, for the fourth day in a row, unauthorized actions against the results of the State Duma elections are taking place . Other cities are joining them.

More than 500 people gathered at Gostiny Dvor in St. Petersburg today. 6 buses, which is about 100 people, have already left the square. At the same time, using megaphones, they explain to those gathered that the event is being held without notification, therefore large gatherings of people are illegal. They ask the protesters not to give in to provocations, although they are not heard, nor are political slogans.

According to the latest data, the number of people detained during three days of protests against unfair elections in St. Petersburg amounted to 477 people.

Despite the mass arrests, protesters continue to come to Gostiny Dvor. Moreover, they intend to gather at Gostinka until December 18th. On this day they applied for an authorized rally.

Meanwhile, the St. Petersburg police continue to keep their finger on the pulse. “We are following information that rallies near Gostiny Dvor may continue, and will not allow a critical situation to arise in the city,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region.
