The authorities again promise to strengthen the control over the Internet. And they even make attempts to pressure on popular Internet services. They were seriously concerned about anti -deposit moods on the network and coordination of protest activities via the Internet. Otherwise, they, apparently, can not solve the problem of mistrust of the population.
The authorities are very worried about the Internet activity of the masses. The head of the Bureau of Special Technical events of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Alexei Moshkov opposed anonymity on the Internet. “Register under the real name, report this address - and communicate. If you are an honest, law -abiding person, why hide? ”He said in an interview with Rossiy newspaper. In his opinion, social networks often threaten the “foundations of society” and through the Internet it is possible to campaign and coordinate shares.
In addition, the creator of VKontakte Pavel Durov announced the requirements of the Federal Security Service to close opposition groups on the social network. He stated this in correspondence with the administrator of the Rospil - War of corruption - Alexey Navalny, "part of which was published in Livejournal.
It is no secret that anonymity is one of the crown "chips" of the Internet. And this really creates the authorities of the problem. After all, if a person is anonymous, it is more difficult to find him, and therefore he can theoretically conduct some not quite legal activity, for example. Provoking other people to crimes, not fearing that they will immediately be revealed and punished.
Another thing is that there are specially trained specialists to track such activities in power.
However, it is important in both news, perhaps in the context of which events they suddenly appeared. Mass actions in Moscow against the legitimacy of the elections seem to have worried the power much more serious than their most daring critics could expect. And the reaction of the population turned out to be much more serious than the authorities themselves were counting on falsification (sometimes deliberately open and insolent in Moscow).
The security forces in their usual manner are trying to extinguish the fire, if not gasoline, then in the manner of stewing the sea crocodile at Korney Chukovsky - "and dried mushrooms."The first reaction to citizens' speeches was an intimidation tactic. The forces of riot police, which seemed to be fitted by armored vehicles, are pulled into Moscow, helicopters are circling. The opposition action on the Triumphal Square is dispersed by force, a record number of oppositionists were detained. Several dozen people were sent to prison (temporarily).
Self -confidence is publicly demonstrated and the appearance is made that nothing extraordinary has happened. The head of state claims that he did not see on videos on the network where violations are captured - nothing like that. And he says that the results of the elections coincided with the results of hundreds of polls and eczitpols.
He is echoed by the head of the Central Election Commission, assuring that everything was honest, and the rollers on the network and the provocation that shot in specially trained apartments, and not at all in polling stations. And even when journalists who caught a group of people who prepared the ballots, tell him that they themselves saw the process, from the inside, he defiantly waves off, accusing representatives of the mass media of gullibility. He himself is not so gullible.
The problem is that the population of the authorities with its statements does not really believe. At least in the capital, where it is difficult to see the mass support of United Russia, and the result turned out to be approximately the same as the national average.
And since the most affordable site for discussion is the Internet, people are flowing there for discussion.Where else will you discuss? Freedom of assembly is violated everywhere: rallies are prohibited, old media and, in particular, television are under state control. Anonymity on the network, at the same time, does not play a big role. They discuss anti -plate sentiments and behavior and quite under their own proposals. Here it is like it is convenient.
In response, the authorities began to panic easily. Putin in the usual manner is trying to find an internal enemy working on the West. “We are obliged to protect our sovereignty and we will need to think about improving the legislation, over the liability of those who fulfill the tasks of a foreign state to influence domestic political processes,” he said at a meeting of the ONF Federal Coordination Council on Thursday.
Both statements about additional control over the network are held according to the same category. Threats and prohibitions of the authorities are trying to defend themselves from the dissatisfaction of their own citizens (at least the part that the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Vladislav Surkov, called in a recent interview “irritated city communities). What are the initiatives in practice still have to be checked. In the West, someone would have already spoke about an attempt to create a full-fledged police state. But we are not in the West, right?
