The victory of those who are dissatisfied with the current government? Of course not. The guys in the Kremlin could easily do 60%and 75%. Everything is in their hands. For now. But they understood that the situation has already changed, that the question of legitimacy was seriously, that now, in the end, it is dangerous to angry the population, they understood and made only 49.3%. Of course, those stolen, but without special impudence. Modestly. Not even 49.9%. True, due to the elected barrier of parties that have not been the EP, the EP has actually has 238 seats in the State Duma, that is, more than 50%.

It seems that Putin knows the real attitude of the people to United Russia. Otherwise, he would not approve the idea of ​​a cunning move with moderate interest. And the fact that the modest result did not prevent the party in the power of the authorities in the Duma, paid much less attention.

Now the main task of the authorities for the coming three months is Putin’s elections. There is no time for the games, here we must show the victory in the first round. And at the same time create the maximum visibility of legitimacy.

No slaughter ideas in the Duma elections from the EP sounded. However, the presidency cannot do without them. It is clear that the authorities want to play several cards. Imperial is one of the most important. Given the widespread nostalgia for the USSR, which was widely spread in our society. It is no coincidence that Putin published an article in October with the idea of ​​creating the Eurasian Union. Moreover, throughout the article, the Prime Minister draws a parallel between the new union and the USSR. Being unable to give people new roads, heating mains, kindergartens, hospitals, being unable to ensure the security of citizens Putin wants to offer them a large country in return.

It is curious that the imperial topic for the first time was recently affected by the future Prime Minister Medvedev. Speaking on November 26 at the second part of the 12th Congress of United Russia, which was going to nominate the candidacy of Vladimir Putin to the President of the Russian Federation, Medvedev, as the third most important problem facing the country, determined the creation of a new union on the basis of the post-Soviet republics. And here are the words at the same time: “We are a nation that is used to acting on a grand scale, this is in our blood. Huge territories, great victories - all this is ours. Citizens of Russia today live not only in the problems of everyday life - they believe in the historical purpose of Russia. Therefore, we hardly work on the expansion of the economic and cultural space, which has sharply reduced after the collapse of the Soviet Union. And you know, we succeed! "

These words are not random. Like Putin's article. The imperial topic is gracious. Heat the hearts of a considerable number of Russians. And retains the situation for Russia: a person for the state, and not vice versa.

This is a long -standing dispute that Westerners and soils began in the 19th century: a state for a person or a person for the state? The first is recorded in our current constitution, the second has always been and remains the norm of our life. Therefore, to the identical question: “What is more important, the size of the country or the quality of life of the overwhelming part of its inhabitants”, we answer: “Sizes”. We need huge territories. And where huge territories, there are great victories. They should replace a high standard of living, respect for the human person, the rule of law.

“The new union will bring benefits, the benefits of every Russian family, because it will increase our economic potential, will give us the opportunity to strengthen Russia's position in the international arena,” the future prime minister promised at the YP Congress. But why not increase our economic potential and strengthen the international situation of Russia due to the resources of our country and the efforts of its inhabitants? This is quite possible, although it requires a change in power and society.

I would like to cite Sweden as an example, which also suffered from imperial ambitions at one time and seriously expanded its possessions, but first during the Northern War (1700-1721), and then the Russian-Swedish War (1808-1809) lost all conquered territories, including the Baltic states, part of Poland, and then Finland. The country finally passed from extensive to intensive development. Sweden has long been a country, albeit small, but very well -maintained with a very high quality of life. God forbid us to live like that. And the point is not only in high salaries, pensions, social payments. Nothing humiliates the dignity of citizens there, the authorities are responsible to them. A person does not feel unprotected. It turns out that Peter I, having defeated the Swedish army, led by Charles XII in the largest battle of the Northern War of the Northern War, rejlored Sweden.

Of course, the story does not know the subjunctive mood, but if Peter I lost the battle of Poltava Charles XII, perhaps we would now be citizens of a small country in Muscovy, but would live very comfortably in well -groomed cities, in well -maintained rural settlements, would produce high -quality cars and other solid goods, and Sweden, excessively large, with the sovereign past, would suffer with many launched ones, with a lot regions, with a population that does not want to bear responsibility and in everything relies on the state, with the raw material economy and a huge army of bureaucrats, occupied only with their own enrichment.

The question of “which is more important, the size of the country or the quality of life of the overwhelming part of its inhabitants” is by no means idle for us at the beginning of the 21st century. It's time for us to think about people, and not about the open spaces, think about the quality of life, and not about great achievements. And do not buy imperial promises, especially in the election time, when others play on the lowest feelings. The idea of ​​a large country and great victories should be replaced by the idea of ​​a country for people. It, like the idea of ​​the value of human life, should become nationwide.
