
In the Nizhny Novgorod region, a criminal case was opened against a 22-year-old woman suspected of killing a police officer. The girl shot the lieutenant colonel at her birthday, when the drunken guard of order began to brag about her with her gun.
A 40-year-old deputy head of one of the departments of the Urensky police department was a victim of careless handling of weapons, the official website of the regional investigative department reports.
According to the investigation begun, last Saturday the victim "was in the apartment of the house on Artelnaya Street" in Nizhny Novgorod. There, the officer drank alcohol along with his 22-year-old acquaintance who celebrated his birthday. During the solemn feast, the policeman began to show the girl his hunting rifle, and then handed the weapon into the hands of the birthday. “She, thinking that it was not charged, pressed the trigger, and the shot thundered,” the Interfax quotes the press release. “The charge of fraction hit the man in the chest, and from the wound he died on the spot.”
As emphasized in the detective department, the deceased himself convinced the girl that the gun was not charged and she should press the trigger and try out weapons.
It is also specified that the MR-153 brand gun is registered in the name of the murdered lieutenant colonel, who studied at the Moscow Legal Academy in parallel with the service.
The investigation is conducted by the investigation department in the Soviet district of Nizhny Novgorod. The girl who fulfilled the stupid request of a senior policeman is charged with Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence). She faces two years in prison.
