The creators of the project decided to invite “iconic” opponents of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation to the studio. This was announced on Tuesday by the press secretary of the head of government, Dmitry Peskov.

“This year we will have in the studio... iconic people, each in their own field, well-known and famous people,” RIA Novosti quotes the prime minister’s representative .

According to Peskov, a very active dialogue is expected. “There will be people sitting there, with their own civil position, with their own opinion, which is not always in tune with the opinion of the government,” the press secretary noted.

He also said that the prime minister is ready to discuss the most pressing issues during a direct line with the population. At the moment, the list of questions most frequently asked to the head of government on the official website of the program includes, in particular, the following: “ In connection with the uproar around the results of the latest Duma elections, will any changes be made to the current legislation in order to tighten penalties for violations of one of the fundamental rights of citizens of the Russian Federation – to fair elections?”

Peskov, for his part, expressed confidence that Putin “never ignores sensitive issues.” According to the press secretary, the political topic so far worries the authors of 5% of requests to the “direct line”. “Quite a lot of people ask, but not the majority. That is, there are many of them, they exist, there are very interesting questions, but they are far from the majority,” he clarified.

The Prime Minister's representative assured that there would be no preliminary coordination of issues. “This is the tenth line, the anniversary one. For all 10 years we have been hearing the words that the questions are prepared in advance, and for all 10 years the course of the straightest line has refuted these words. And now the questions are not prepared in advance, this is a real live broadcast, these are real questions,” Peskov said.

On Thursday, “A Conversation with Vladimir Putin” will be broadcast live on TV channels “Russia 1”, “Russia 24”, radio stations “Mayak”, “Vesti FM” and “Radio Rossii”.

Last year, the program set another record for duration: the prime minister’s communication session with the population lasted 4 hours and 26 minutes.
