Iranians used the GPS vulnerability to plant an American drone on their territory

Iranian specialists managed to replace GPS data, as a result of which he landed in the place where they needed. Thus, the hackers did not have to hack a system of communication of the device with the US Department of Management.

By creating interference on the communication channel, you can convert the flying device into the autopilot mode, and at this moment control over the device is lost.

The US armed forces have long been known about the vulnerabilities of the GPS system. The first report on the GPS vulnerability problem and containing warnings about the danger of hacker attacks of this type appeared back in 2003.

The RQ-170 drone is the latest a similar type of aircraft made using Stealth technology. Radiocation systems are difficult to determine the location of the drone due to its shape and the technologies used in it.

According to the Iranian military, who are now studying the drone, he has complex observation systems, obtaining data, electronic communication and radar. UAVs are designed to collect intelligence - it can take pictures of the territory, measure the radiation background and take air samples.

Later, President Obama admitted that after the disappearance of RQ-170 over Iran, colleagues invited him to conduct a special operation to save the apparatus or destroy it.
