Yesterday a meeting of the organizing committee of the rally was held on December 24. The organizers for the first time touched the financial side, admitting that the organization of a 50,000-thousand-up rally will require considerable costs. Special funds to raise funds have already been created on the network. Journalist Olga Romanova calls on to sacrifice funds for a rally so that he turns out to be civilian both in general and in financial sense.
It is proposed to sacrifice money for Yandex.Koshelk Romanova. Users willingly respond to the offer, but advise you to lay out all the costs of expenses on the network. Romanova explained to the independent newspaper that the organizers will decide what to spend money on, she is only responsible for the collection. According to her, there are different payments - a lot of 70–100-200 rubles each, and the maximum transfer amounted to 50 thousand rubles.
Olga Romanova noted that donations are accepted only from individuals to avoid accusations of financing with extremist organizations. “It is also impossible to transfer funds from abroad,” says Romanova. Yesterday afternoon, more than 500 thousand rubles were received on the electronic wallet of the organizing committee. “I will try to report for every penny,” Romanova promised.
The organizers explain: about 3 million rubles will be needed to hold such a large -scale action. “We need to install a scene for speeches on Sakharov’s Avenue, provide a powerful sound, light, additional screens - so that all the rally participants see well and hear everything that happens,” writes Journalist Sergei Parkhomenko, co -organizer of the rally. - You will also need a reliable connection, since in a crowd you can not rely on mobile phones. You can’t do without minimal amenities - toilets and other things, but they also cost money. ” Another idea is to organize the broadcast of a rally on Internet channels throughout Russia. “And for this we will have to connect to the high -speed Internet“ through the air ”, which is also not cheap,” writes Parkhomenko. - Our rally is not party, but public. We will not allow anyone to "redeem it." We urge the participants to help maintain its one hundred percent financial independence. ”
“The largest expenses will be on the stage and the screen, which will cost almost 2 million rubles,” said Boris Nemtsov, co -chair of the People’s Freedom Party. “Another screen will be installed in the middle of Sakharov Avenue.” In addition, additional security will be needed, Nemtsov says, and she will have to be hired for money, "as well as communications, amplifiers, and so on."
Previously, the opposition had no experience in organizing such large -scale rallies. The action on December 10, held in Bolotnaya Square, was funded by "solidarity" and cost 300 thousand rubles.
Nemtsov explained that during the tender between eight companies, companies managed to significantly save on the stage: “The leaders of the companies with whom we were negotiating previously organized such rallies for the Narodists, admitting that even without taking into account the kickbacks, the latter paid at least 3 million rubles only for the scene.”
