Recall that the 44-year-old Russian businessman Alexander Trofimov was convicted in Cambodia in November 2008 for molestation of minors. The director of a large construction company was arrested in October 2007 on suspicion of molestation of 19 girls.

In 2010, the court again revised the Trofimov case. The mitigation of punishment to an influential pedophile from Russia caused a storm of indignation in society. “An amazing court decision. The public will not reconcile with this. Eight years are unacceptable,” said the lawyer of the victims Noun Phanit.

Now Koh Puos claims that Alexander Trofimov is no longer its director. "He is no longer the head of the company. I do not want to hear this name," said the NOUTA trading manager.

The case of the pedophile Trofimov, the issuance of which was achieved by Interpol and the Russian authorities, has become the largest in Cambodia in recent years. Showing courts over the rapists, according to ponom, should help improve the image of the country. Since 2008, the authorities were held accountable for 64 pedophiles, mainly foreigners.
