The Kamchatka Hydrometeorological Center of ITAR-TASS reported that last night in the Penzhinsky district the temperature dropped to minus 41-45 degrees. In the daytime, it is from minus 39 to minus 41 degrees. As noted in the hydrometeorological center, record frosts are associated with anticyclone.
During severe frosts, rescuers warned local residents about the danger of frostbite and recommended not to let the children go for a walk. The Ministry of Emergencies also advises to stay at home and the elderly and those who suffer from any chronic diseases.
When going out into the street, rescuers recommend lubricating the face with fat cream, do not wear tight shoes, put on their hands not gloves, but fur mittens, do not wear silver and gold jewelry in the frost.
There were no reports of malfunctions in the work of life support systems related to frosts in the north of Kamchatka.
