Baghdad inflicted missile strikes at the Turkish Embassy
On Wednesday in the capital of Iraq, Baghdad was subjected to a missile shelling of the Turkish Embassy, unknown people released three missiles into the diplomatic mission building, ITAR-TASS reports.
According to the head of the Turkish mission, Yunus Demirer, one of the missiles fell into the wall surrounding around the perimeter of the embassy building. According to preliminary data, there are no dead or victims.
It is noteworthy that the incident occurred against the backdrop of an exacerbation of relations between Ankara and Baghdad after issuing an arrest of the Iraqi vice president of Al-Khashim-Sunnita for religion and the main rival of the current prime minister, Shiite Nuri Al-Malika.
The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan defended al-Khashiy, which caused the anger of his Iraqi colleague. The latter advised Erdogan not to climb into the internal affairs of another country, after which Iraq’s ambassador in Ankara was gilted to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, where he was awarded a note of protest.
