A number of famous public figures and cultural figures announced the creation of a league of voters - the organization of non -political, but designed to monitor the honesty of elections. Whether she can work fully - a big question. However, its very creation is a signal to the authorities that civil legal consciousness will continue to develop.

The organizers of the metropolitan rally on Sakharov Avenue and the speaking on it announced the creation of voter leagues announced at a rally. The pre -declared composition of its founders included people who are very well -known: writers Boris Akunin, Dmitry Bykov and Lyudmila Ulitskaya, journalists Olga Romanova and Sergey Parkhomenko, TV presenters Leonid Parfenov and Tatyana Lazareva, bloggers Ilya Varlamov and Dmitry Ivanov, musician Yuri Shevchuk, political scientist Dmitry Oreshkin, doctor Elizabeth Glinka (Dr. Lisa), leader of the White Ribbon movement Elena Tikhonova, producer Georgy Vasiliev and coordinator of the Blue Vederok Petr Shkumatov. And not a single note policy.

Today they held a press conference in order to explain what exactly the voter league will deal with. A press conference in RIA Novosti is already serious, just like adults. And when all this was also shown “Channel One”, it immediately becomes obvious that the League at first will definitely not have any special problems from the federal authorities.

The organization is planned non -partisan. Shevchuk warned that he would come out of it if there would be an attempt to transform the league into the party. Moreover, as Leonid Parfyonov emphasized, the founders of the League do not want to see politicians in their ranks.

They promise to work in several areas: coordination of groups of independent observers in the March 4 elections, preparation of protests, preparation of observers, compiling personified members of the election commission. It seems that a kind of “campaign train” is planned by the Trans -Siberian Railway to clarify the goals of organizing citizens of the country.

“We are for honest courts, for honest media, for honest police, for honest relations between the state and a citizen. We are for honest elections from local to the presidential and we will fight for this with all available legal methods, ”the League declaration says. For everything, respectively, “honest” against everything “dishonest”. Representatives of literally all other political organizations also speak approximately.

The list of founders seems to be already a guarantee from the excessive “politicization” of the organization in the sense of turning it into a private instrument, whether it is party structures, power or non-systemic opposition. However, other prospects are extremely vague.

Undoubtedly, all the founders are famous people who have some rather big symbolic capital.

However, they are also people busy and the direct work of most of them is not directly related to public or human rights activities.

It is stated that for joining in the league it will be enough to leave data on the site. But will the audience want, even at the capital's rallies, to en masse in the league? Do they overestimate their own popularity and the ability to organize citizens of the league founders? This is still to be checked.

So far, all declarations of the organizers of the League are not much different from similar declarations of other public organizations, and the composition resembles a sort of open letter of cultural figures. The format of “open letters” in this sense is a not quite accurate analogy, because the addressee of the open letter is conceived by power, here the subject is not so much power (to speak with the authorities of the league, as they say, are quite ready), but “all-all-all”. “Everyone who is not indifferent”, “Everyone who wants to see their country is such and such.”

The complacency of such intellectual calls, which the authorities, not in earnestly alarmed by the masses of citizens in the capital, is ready to demolish.

Yes, she would be ready to demolish such initiatives in other conditions. Even the “real” elections would give the authorities and Vladimir Putin the relative majority in the elections, at least due to a specific pro -government voting on the national outskirts, where no “league” and “Voice” can control almost nothing.

And talking about the "honest" elections from the authorities will most likely remain conversations. Perhaps excesses will be taken into account when voting in Moscow and large cities will give a slightly lower percentage of Putin than they could when they deploy a falsification system, but in general the situation is still controlled. Well, who will send observers in the villages of Tambovshchina or small cities of the Oryol region?

And in general, the authorities are still quite confident. Today, for example, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Putin government, Igor Shuvalov, explained that when reached the level of per capita GDP of 15 thousand dollars, the political system should come to mobility. That we, in his opinion, are observing now, but "there is no instability."

It is another matter that some unprecedented self -organization of citizens have long been obvious.

And in this sense, the emergence of the voter league is likely only the first of many such initiatives. Even if it is not in demand by the “swamp public” and the elections will pass dishonestly, and the wave of rallies will subside, all the same, the political culture of citizens will change. Towards greater activity and, possibly, responsibility. The main thing is that the elites manage to adapt to these changes. The creation of the same voter league is a signal, first of all, to them, and not swamp Protestants, who already know that they do not want to live in the old way.
