Today we returned from Kirov, where we held a press conference on the results of our joint public investigation with SALT activists (blue buckets) and the journalistic community. Exactly a year ago, Kirov schoolgirl Alisa Suvorova died under the wheels of an unknown vehicle. A woman, the driver of a regular trolleybus, Marina Nogina, was accused of the collision. They gave me a real sentence - 2.5 years in a penal colony. Now she is sitting there. Meanwhile, the criminal case was replete with a mass of inconsistencies and inaccuracies due to which any self-respecting judge had to return the case to the prosecutor's office. In general, the citizens of Kirov and sympathizers from Moscow began to act and did several studies, helped the Kirov lawyer prepare materials for a complaint to the Supreme Court. The press conference marked the end of the first stage of the struggle for justice. It was held in the press center of the Progorod newspaper. The photo below shows the speakers and a photo of Marina Nogina in the colony:

The hall was full:
The event was hosted by journalist Vika Ivleva:
The first to speak was Petr Shkumatov, an SALT activist, whose members began to actively help Kirov residents:
Your humble servant, who organized one of the key studies:
The famous Yura Antipov, who sorted out the Kirov history, no worse than “Road Accident on Leninsky”:
Marina Nogina's lawyer - Valery Rylov:
Nadezhda Devyatykh is a real citizen and just a great guy. She organized everyone and did not let them relax and forget about Kirov in the Moscow chaos.
Yuriy Antipov once again focused on the video recordings from the case materials:
What was happening aroused genuine interest among the assembled journalists and ordinary citizens:
After the press conference, a local TV channel urgently invited us to film in the studio:
Even after going outside, the discussion did not stop:
Peter, Yuri and I, of course, couldn’t stand it anymore and went to the scene of the accident. This is the same intersection, and there was even a trolleybus, albeit a different one:
Some details caused a special reaction, because it was as if we had already been here before:
The intersection has clearly not become safer in the year since the tragedy:
I traveled by train, but the SALT representatives were in a “special vehicle,” which surprised the Kirov residents. And the best part is that they know very well about SALT in Kirov:

The most important result of our actions on the public investigation into the death of Alisa Suvorova in an accident is the creation of an information space from which the true culprits cannot hide. It is obvious to all participants in the investigation that the trolleybus did not hit the girl. Today, all law enforcement officials, including judges, are confident that the case will be hushed up. Their confidence is based on the experience that the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation does not scrutinize supervisory complaints very carefully, if they even get there at all. Our next task is to make road accidents in Kirov significant for judges of the federal supervisory authority. There are more than enough reasons to overturn the verdict; you just need to approach the matter not based on concepts, but fairly and legally competently. The second way is more difficult. Law enforcement experts in Kirov apparently overworked themselves and were completely negligent in their duties. The examinations carried out do not stand up to criticism. Not done: trace analysis of shoes, analysis of drag marks on the girl’s clothes, DNA traces of blood on the trolleybus, a full-fledged forensic study of the nature of the injuries, and much more. There is absolutely nothing to say about fake coefficients of adhesion to the road and its slope... Initiating and bringing to court a criminal case against experts is a good reason to reconsider the sentence of Marina Nogina due to newly discovered circumstances. Let us sincerely hope that the Investigative Committee of Russia was created not for show, but for the real fight against corruption, both direct and hidden, in the form of “mutual responsibility”...
We will publish the continuation of the public investigation on the website of the International Public Organization "Justice" .
