Well, there is very little time left until March, and something has become clear in the actions of Putin’s headquarters. Here are some interesting observations.
1) The fed command is given. TV channels to lift the “embargo” on showing the opposition. Yesterday we saw this in the “Sunday Time” program, a little earlier on the Russia-1 TV channel. Vladimir Ryzhkov, Boris Nemtsov and Garry Kasparov in the central media?! What?! Hurray-hurray?! Wait to flatter yourself. Very inconvenient parts were obviously cut out of their comments, but the main thing is different: after March 4, forget about these citizens on TV. All this is being done to legitimize the elections, and smart people like Ryzhkov and Nemtsov should understand this. They are simply trying to use them. So that later, in response to indignation that there is no opposition on TV, the Putinists would object: here they were, and Putin still won.
2) Putin’s headquarters set about winning the 1st round by any means necessary. VTsIOM draws a rating of 52 percent. Stepashin states that “elections are an expensive event and it would be better to do with one round.” Other officials make similar statements. At the same time, Putin promises “fair elections.” It is clear to anyone that Putin does not have 52 percent of support (in December, VTsIOM drew 53 percent of United Russia), that he cannot win in the first round without large-scale falsifications, and that a possible second round would be a disaster for Putin.
3) Cosmetic questions remain: will Yavlinsky, who has gone into sharp criticism, be allowed in, and what will Putin’s famous sparring partners in the person of Zyuganov and Zhirinovsky say - will they rock the “boat” during the debate, and so on. But these are all little things that are not worth close attention, so these candidates will not be offended by me.
To summarize:
1) Putin has no competitors in such “elections”, and he will win in any case.
2) if a sufficient number of voters come to the elections, then only large-scale fraud will help Putin.
3) an “unconditional” victory in the 1st round will be ensured.
Hence the strategy of action of the sane opposition:
1) work to increase civic activity in terms of coming to polling stations
2) support for all candidates who share the demands of the rallies. Supporting any one is ineffective due to the fact that the specified candidate will gain little during Putin's count. Let it be Yavlinsky, Prokhorov and Mironov, for example
3) mass deployment of active observers to polling stations
When I talked to people before the elections to the State Duma, I said that it would be best if United Russia drew something like 70 percent - so the scale of falsification would be catastrophic and noticeable to everyone. It turned out that 49.5 percent was enough. It will be the same with Putin if we manage to implement this simple program. You shouldn’t count on the march (or rally) on February 4 to solve anything. No. The greatest tension of forces will be possible only after March 4, when people realize that our president is also elected with the help of wizards. And then - exit to the square in order to remain there until the bitter end, until all demands are fulfilled. It will be warmer in March.
