“You see that the Center for Military Enlightenment from the traditional war theaters - land and the sea - has shifted to the aerospace and information sphere, including cybersecurity. The concepts of the spitentric war have already stepped far ahead. We are evaluating how effectively and qualitatively the leading countries of the West,” Makarov said, speaking at the general meeting of the Academy of Military Sciences in Moscow.
He noted that in recent years, asymmetric actions began to be widely used, its initial period began to be crucial and the outcome of the war, RIA Novosti reports. In general, the period of hostilities has become very limited in time and very tough.
“It is clear that as a result of a decrease in the number of armed forces due to high technologies, the efficiency of troops, the use of new uniforms and methods of combat, allows you to solve those tasks that used to solve a large amount of personnel,” Makarov stated.
