
Divers conducting search work on the sunken cruise liner Costa Concordia found on Saturday the body of another deceased as a result of the crash of the vessel, RIA Novosti reports.
The woman’s body was found on the sixth deck of the ship. Thus, the number of those killed in the accident increased to 17 people.
The search operation on the liner continues, but the fuel pumping work on Saturday is suspended due to excitement at sea, local media note.
The Costa Concordia liner crashed on the night of January 14 in the Tyrrin Sea near the island of Gillo off the coast of the Italian region of Tuscany. On board the vessel were more than 4.2 thousand people, including 111 Russians. Until now, about 20 people are considered missing.
