According to Symantec, this is the largest malicious campaign directed against users of the Android operating system. More than 5 million users have already loaded infected applications from Google Android Market to their mobile devices.

Malicious software called Android.counterClank, as experts say, is a variant of Trojan by Android.Tonclank and is able to track and send information about saved in memory of the mobile apparatus, launched applications and even data about the IMEI -number - a unique identifier assigned to all pocket devices, appropriate devices. which are connected to mobile networks.

In addition, using Android.counterClank, intrusive advertising was shown to users.

The malicious Trojan was found in only 13 different applications from Android Market, and publishes their name on his website. The list includes the following playing and entertaining applications: Counter Elite Force, Counter Strike Ground Force, Counter Strike Hit Enemy, Heart Live Wallpaper, Hit Counter Terrorist, Stripper Touch Girl, Balloon Game, Deal & Be Millionaire, Wild Man, Pretty Women Lingerie Puzzle, Sexy Girls Photo Game, Sexy Girls Puzzle and Sexy Women Puzzle.

Some of them were in the official application of applications for more than a month and more than 5 million times were loaded.
