The word “president” translated into Russian means “the one sitting in front.” Somehow this is perceived clumsily and vaguely,” writes Zhirinovsky in the newspaper Izvestia .

At the same time, in addition to introducing the title of the position of ruler of Russia, which, according to him, means “essentially, a king,” Zhirinovsky would like to make Russia a parliamentary republic.

“ The State Duma must form the government, and, as in all of Europe, the leader of the party that receives the majority must automatically be appointed chairman of the government... And we will choose the head of state at a meeting, and only for one term - five years,” the leader’s article says LDPR .

Zhirinovsky declares the need to build on the “Russian idea” and demands the abolition of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (“Extremism”).

This is an exclusively “Russian” article, according to which Russian people are mainly imprisoned. In our country, you can be condemned for simply speaking in favor of Russia. I wrote “Russia is above all” - you are an extremist and a fascist, welcome to our most humane court,” Zhirinovsky says.

Also, the leader of the LDPR in his article called opposition rallies for fair elections the “orange revolution.”

“Now we are seeing open attempts to organize an “orange revolution” in our country. As a matter of fact, the revolution already began on December 10, 2011 on Bolotnaya Square,” Zhirinovsky said.
