We understand that civic activity has grown at times, people want to more clearly represent their position.

He admitted that the strict requirements for registration of parties were insurmountable for small and average in number of public organizations. According to him, the simplification of the registration procedure declared by him is "this is only the first part of the modernization of the political system." “I would like you, as my supporters, understand: all that is being done is not a fragmented set of some random measures that were pulled out in December or later, this is a deeply thought-out position,” Medvedev emphasized.

Commenting on the question of returning the elections of governors, Medvedev said that the citizens themselves asked to return the elections of the heads of the region. “Once they want, then we will give this opportunity,” Medvedev said.

Medvedev again doubted the authenticity of videos about the violations that appeared in December. “Naturally, what everyone is talking about and is right now is that it is necessary to strengthen the guarantees of publicity and the openness of the elections. The bill in this sense goes forward, it enshrines the right to observers to conduct photo and video shooting in polling stations, which is very important, since it is with the help of such materials that violations are usually fixed or, conversely, a certain public opinion is formed and the situation is provoked.

On January 25, Medvedev announced his readiness to meet with the leaders of the protest movement, but did not intend to go to rallies. “I’m not afraid of anything in this life precisely because I work as a president. I can explain with anyone, but I will not be specially at the rallies that are dedicated to the results of the elections or something else. If someone needs to tell me something, I am ready to meet with them,” Medvedev said at a meeting with students of the journalism faculty of Moscow State University.

Medvedev said that he was ready to meet "with representatives of a systemic, non -systemic opposition, with those who are loyal to the authorities, with those who were disappointed or not disappointed in him." “Even this communication is - there is a channel for receiving information, but to speak at a rally, to explain is not the President’s business. The president’s case is different to lead my line. And I will lead this line before May 7 of this year, and if someone does not like it, I can’t do anything,” the president added.
