On Friday, the German group will stage a grand show at the Olimpiysky. Fans will remember this “recap” Rammstein concert for a long time, the organizers assure.

The legendary German band Rammstein will perform on February 10 at the Olimpiysky sports complex. As part of their European tour, the musicians will present their recently released collection of the best songs, Made In Germany.

Despite the fact that coming to Russia has become an annual tradition for the group, tickets for the concert were sold out a month ago.

In Moscow, the group will present a unique fire show, said Andreas Platonov, general director of EM Concert.

"The concert is remarkable because it is such a reporting show for Rammstein in front of its public. 24 trucks full of equipment, seven bus liners, and 450 people who are busy producing this show at each venue. Rammstein will present the best excerpts from the show that they have ever- or they did. What’s unusual is that a suspension bridge will be thrown from the stage across the entire hall and, in addition, several tons of special effects and pyrotechnics carried by Rammstein. This is truly a world performance. This year Paul Star nominated this show for the best show in the world." , he said.

Despite the high cost of tickets, the group always attracts full stadiums, said Dmitry Kurkin, deputy editor-in-chief of the music portal Zvuki.ru.

“The group is still popular, like many stars of the late 90s and early 2000s. They have a stable fan base. They can be attended by wealthy people under 40, whose youth was spent watching MTV videos and Du hast songs on the radio. This is what a show where the public, in principle, comes out once or twice a year to some concerts,” he noted.

Last year Rammstein gave two concerts at the Olimpiysky. At the same time, both times the hall was full.

In July 1989, the British group Pink Floyd performed at the Olimpiysky for five days as part of their A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, staging the largest rock concert there in the entire history of the USSR. The 35,000-seat stadium was filled to capacity on all performance days. In May 2009, 34.5 thousand spectators gathered at the sports complex for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. All tickets for the events were sold out a month before the show. In 2011, only the German rock band Scorpions, who were on their farewell world tour, and Sir Paul McCartney, who performed about forty songs during the concert, managed to pack a full stadium.

After two Moscow concerts at the Olympic Stadium, Rammstein will perform in St. Petersburg.
