On Thursday, February 9, the US Federal Bureau of Investigations on its website published a dossier on the founder of Apple Corporation Steve Jobs. The document, which consists of almost 200 pages, was prepared back in 1991, when the office of President George Bush Sr. was considered the opportunity to appoint Jobs a consultant to the US Presidential Export Council , the Air Force reports. Nevertheless, the general public is a kind of “biography” of a computer genius, which was not known about almost 20 years, has become available only now. The files were declassified on request Wall Street Journal based on an act of freedom of information .

The FBI pays great attention to the dossier both Jobs’s personal life and his professional activity. When preparing the report, special services interviewed 29 people - colleagues, acquaintances and friends of the future creator of iPhone, iPad and MacBook. In addition, they talked with Jobs himself.

Most of them did not believe in his honesty and high moral appearance.

So, several people claimed that Jobs was ready to redire the truths and distort reality in order to achieve his goal. The former business partner, who accused Jobs because he did not receive the expected major benefit, called the founder of Apple "an honest and trustworthy person whose moral appearance, however, is in doubt."

One of the informants noted that Jobs is the best suited for working in the government,

Since "the presence of honesty and decency is not necessary for the state debt."

However, there were also those who noted his "truthfulness and frankness." One of the interlocutors of the FBI specified that Jobs "always says exactly what he thinks."

Most of his colleagues admitted that it was really difficult to work with Jobs because of his explosive temperament. They noted that he can be harsh with people and at the same time a very high opinion of himself. However, all of them spoke very highly of his professional qualities, noting his foresight, charisma, hard work and creative approach to work. As one of the sources said

Jobs "was not an engineer in the full sense of the word - he was an innovative force in the technical community."

The dossier also notes that Jobs traveled a lot, including in the USSR, but was never seen in relations with the Communists and other ideological opponents of the US government.

As for the personal life of a talented entrepreneur, as indicated in the dossier, he did not care about his illegitimate daughter Lisa and her mother at one time, however, by the time of work on the document, the situation had changed for the better. Indeed, Jobs for a long time refused to admit himself to the girl’s father, but in the end he changed his mind.

One of the first personal computers of Apple, developed in 1983, he named in honor of his daughter - Lisa.

The dossier also contains information about Jobs's appeal to Buddhism and drug use. He himself stated that in the 1970s, during training in high school and college, he experimented with drugs, including LSD and marijuana, but over the past five years he did not use any substances.

It is worth noting that all the names of informants were edited. However, as The Huffington Post writes, they can be calculated by comments. The publication concluded that special services managers managed to communicate with the former girl Jobs and with the mother of his illegitimate daughter Chris-Ann Brennan.

Nevertheless, adverse comments did not prevent Jobs from taking the unpaid post of a consultant in the Bush Sr. Government. By that time, Jobs had just temporarily left Apple and became the general director of Next. Subsequently, he returned to the corporation he founded and led it until his death.

The 56-year-old Jobs died in October last year after a long-term fight against cancer. His official biography , written by Walter Aisekson, was released a month earlier than the intended term and immediately became a bestseller.
