The condition of the former Minister of Education of South Ossetia and former presidential candidate of the republic Alla Dzhioeva has deteriorated again: she came to her senses during the night, but is now unconscious again. The BBC reports this.

A member of the opposition politician’s headquarters, Elina Marzoeva, said that A. Dzhioev should be urgently sent to a Russian clinic in Moscow or Vladikavkaz. “We do not believe that she is receiving due attention and assistance,” noted E. Marzoeva. However, she added that the capital remains the best option, since in Vladikavkaz “they may be afraid to record beatings.”

“One of the doctors called the headquarters from the hospital and said that in addition to the head injuries received after being hit with a rifle butt during the assault, she had two broken ribs,” said a representative of the headquarters.

Meanwhile, a number of media outlets report that A. Dzhioeva has regained consciousness and is in the intensive care unit of the Republican Hospital in Tskhinvali. Doctors made a preliminary diagnosis of cerebral stroke, left hemiparesis.

E. Marzoeva also reported that many supporters of the opposition politician are on duty at the clinic where A. Dzhioeva is located. “For now they are silently expressing their protest,” the woman noted.

Let us remind you that on February 8, A. Dzhioeva was taken to the republican hospital with a diagnosis of hypertensive crisis. The Republican Prosecutor General's Office explained that A. Dzhioeva became ill during a conversation with an investigator who came to her headquarters with a summons in a criminal case initiated in connection with the riots in November 2011. At the same time, supporters of the opposition leader claim that security forces stormed A. Dzhioeva’s headquarters, severely beat her (in particular, hit her on the head with the butt of a machine gun) and supporters of the ex-presidential candidate.

The reason for this development of events was A. Dzhioeva’s refusal to recognize the cancellation of the results of the presidential elections in South Ossetia, in which she was in the lead. She demanded that Prime Minister Vadim Brovtsev transfer power to her in a civilized way and stated that she was ready for a civil war in the republic. She also set her inauguration date to today, February 10th.
