
The head of the election commission of the Omsk region, Alexander Kushnarev, died in the hospital on the morning of February 10 after a stroke on January 31. The duties of the chairman, before his appointment, will be fulfilled by the deputy Kushnarev, Yuri Yakovlev, told Taiga.info, the press secretary of the Oblazbirkoma Natalya Orlova.
Kushnarev was hospitalized with a diagnosis of stroke in the evening of January 31 and urgently operated on. After the operation, he fell into a coma and died nine days later, without regaining consciousness.
“According to the Law of the Omsk Region, his duties fall into the departure of the chairman of the commission, this is Yuri Aleksandrovich Yakovlev,” Orlova said, adding that he did not know when the new chairman could be appointed.
On February 26, Alexander Kushnarev would be 61 years old. He was appointed the Governor of the Omsk Region Leonid Polezhaev in the election of the election commission, the election commission headed the election commission since 1995.
