"We cannot support the transfer of the Syrian question to the UN General Assembly with the same unbalanced content of the resolution project," wrote the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Gennady Gatilov on his Twitter on Saturday.

On the night of Saudi, Saudi Arabia spread a draft resolution among members of the UN General Assembly, involving the support of the Arab plan for Syria. This happened a week after Russia and China blocked the adoption of a similar project in the UN Security Council. The channel recalls that there is no veto in the UN. But the resolutions of the Assembly are advisory in nature, and not mandatory, as in the case of the Security Council.

According to Al-Arabiya, the situation in Syria will be entered on the agenda of the UN GA on Monday, until then the vote on the resolution will not take place.

The Saudi project contains calls to stop violence against both aspects of the conflict, however, the main wine is entrusted, while Syria, which are condemned for "ongoing wide and systematic violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms," reports RIA Novosti .

The document calls for the guilty of the perpetrators of human rights to be held accountable, but there are no direct references to the International Criminal Court (MUS).
