Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), who arrived in Moscow to assess the course of preparation for the presidential election on March 4, reported on Saturday about the work done. They managed to meet four presidential candidates (except for Putin - he is too busy), as well as to achieve personnel decisions from the head of the CEC Vladimir Churov. Despite the fact that he considers the elections to the State Duma honest, and the work of the election commission is impeccable, he still promised to change many chairmen of the election commission in the near future. True, he did not explain by what criteria the heads of TIK or PEC would fire.

Her head of Tini Cox reported on the work of the mission. He said: in Putin’s apparatus, the delegation was informed that the meeting did not fit into the tense work schedule of the prime minister. But observers managed to communicate with other presidential candidates, with Churov, as well as with the Commissioner for Human Rights Vladimir Lukin.

The candidates, as the mission’s statement said, complained about Putin: "They expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that one of the candidates - the current Prime Minister - continues to use the administrative resource."
