The co -chairs of the Party of People’s Freedom (Parnassus) Mikhail Kasyanov, Boris Nemtsov and Vladimir Ryzhkov decided to create a new coalition, writes Kommersant .
As Kasyanov explained, the leaders of Parnassus decided to initiate "a wide unification of all liberal democrats into the megapartia." “If there is a simplification of the law on parties, then Putin will be interested in giving a democratic camp by creating a heap of parties that will be bite with each other,” Boris Nemtsov is sure. According to him, in this case, they will all "receive 2 percent." Therefore, the leaders of Parnassus decided to create a “super -party”, Nemtsov explained.
Kasyanov and Nemtsov see two scenarios of the association. One is that both Parnassus and Yabloko abandon their brands and a new general structure is created with the participation of all democrats. According to the second scenario, democratic forces will not have to merge into one batch, instead the coalition of equal participants is created, and financing is carried out on a parity basis.
Kasyanov and Nemtsov emphasized that it makes sense to start negotiations on the creation of a coalition after the presidential election. In the meantime, oppositionists meet with potential participants and conduct consultations. According to the newspaper, the “Yabloko”, “Solidarity”, the remains of the former “Union of Right Forces”, as well as supporters of Alexei Kudrin, Mikhail Prokhorov, Alexei Navalny, may enter the new coalition.
According to the democrats, if they manage to create a “megapartia”, then she will be able to get 30 percent in the Duma elections, and this will “be another country”.
Parnassus, still calling himself a party “For Russia without arbitrariness and corruption,” was created in December 2010. Its co -chairs were Mikhail Kasyanov, Boris Nemtsov, Vladimir Milov and Vladimir Ryzhkov. Subsequently, Milov left the party due to disagreements with the rest of the co-chairs. Parnassus tried to receive official registration, but the Ministry of Justice refused this to her.
