Evgeny Tashkov, author of "Adjutant of his Excellency" died, died

The famous film director, People's Artist of Russia Evgeny Tashkov died on February 15 in Moscow at the age of 85, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to the deputy chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Klim Lavrentiev. The funeral will take place, most likely on Saturday, he said.

According to him, Evgeny Ivanovich was a true innovator of domestic cinema. In 1950, he graduated from the Faculty of Acting of VGIK and first made his debut as a film actor, starring in films such as the "ship commander" and "captain of the old turtle." As a director, he made his debut in 1957, removing the tape of the "Pages of the past".

Tashkov’s undoubted success was the film “Come tomorrow” (1963), where he acted not only as a director, but also as a screenwriter. And the popularity of his series “The Adjutant of His Excellency” and “Major Wild”, according to Lavrentiev, was not inferior even to such a famous series as “Seventeen Moments of Spring”.

Evgeny Tashkov, despite his age and ailments, worked almost until his death. Only last year, he completed the shooting of the film "Three Dostoevsky Women". And millions of spectators are well aware of his paintings “French Lessons”, “Children of Vanyushin”, “Thirst”. Tashkov was married to actress very popular at one time Ekaterina Savinova, who played the capital roles in his best early films. And their son Andrei Tashkov followed in the footsteps of his parents, becoming an actor of theater and cinema.
