I assume that before and during the elections, attempts will be made to discredit the most important thing that poses a threat to eternal Putinism - the observers. We bloggers must be prepared for the fact that videos screaming about falsifications may appear on the Internet, but then suddenly it turns out that the video is fake, made by Putinists, and the Putinists themselves will use the video to try to discredit the entire mass of evidence of violations .
How will we protect ourselves from this?
1. Be careful with shares and retweets. Don't post a video you haven't watched yourself before.
2. Give priority in distribution to those you trust. For example, you know this observer or the organization that distributed the testimony about him. Then post messages from them faster than unverified facts.
3. If you doubt any video, write about it, this will make it easier for us to identify Zaputin’s fakes.
4. And most importantly, there are few supporters of Putin. Even if fakes do appear, there will be few of them or they will not be widely distributed. We will be able to resist election fraud only if there are more of us among observers and among those who record violations on video and photos.
There is something else that works for us. The heads of PECs are smart people. And they saw the rallies on Sakharov and Bolotnaya and understand that the situation is shaking and an investigation into falsifications may come not sometime in the abstract, but in the next year or two. This gives hope that not everyone will be ready to risk falsifying the voting results, or at least will not do it too brazenly.
But there is also something working against us - Putin’s team is unlikely to give up power so easily, even if the people vote against it. This means that this time the administrative resource will be fully connected.
But it will be difficult to take all the votes. That’s why we go to the polls, sign up as observers, and protect votes from theft.
