Prime Minister Vladimir Putin arrived on a working trip to the Volga Federal District, where he will visit the KAMAZ automobile plant and hold a meeting on the implementation of regional healthcare modernization programs, Interfax reports.
At the beginning of the trip, the Prime Minister will go to the KAMAZ automobile plant and then visit the state autonomous healthcare institution of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Emergency Hospital.
In addition, the head of government took part in a meeting on the issue “On the implementation of the demographic policy of the Russian Federation and regional programs for the modernization of healthcare.” At the end of his working trip, Putin will talk with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
During the meeting, reports will be heard from the heads of some constituent entities of the Federation on the state of medicine in the regions they lead, the press service of the Russian government reports.
Previously, these issues were discussed at meetings held by the Prime Minister in 2010 in Ivanovo and Kaliningrad, in March 2011 in Ryazan, in February, April and October 2011 in Moscow, in August 2011 in Smolensk .
The meeting will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladislav Surkov, Minister of Health and Social Development Tatyana Golikova, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, representatives of a number of ministries and departments, as well as, via videoconference, heads of all constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Putin will visit KAMAZ, located in Naberezhnye Chelny, one of the leading manufacturers of trucks with more than 30 main models and over 400 modifications, diesel and gas engines, spare parts and automotive components.
On February 15, in the presence of Putin, the 2 millionth car will roll off the assembly line of the plant.
