Such inspections on January 30 simultaneously began in 19 branches and departments of the NRC throughout the country. More than one hundred employees of the Central Bank are involved in a large -scale operation.

-The main issues studied during the audit are compliance with the requirements for the formation of mandatory reserves, the quality of assets (loan portfolio, securities), the formation of reserves for possible losses, the state of liquidity, the quality of risk management, the fulfillment of 115-ФЗ requirements (on the opposition of the legalization of income received by criminal means, and the financing of terrorism), said Simanovsky.

However, the version put forward by the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Russia looks unconvincing.

If only because less than six months ago, a check in all directions voiced by Simanovsky has already been carried out. And almost a 500-page act was drawn up, the main conclusion of which-the NRB operates exclusively within the framework of the law, no violations of the legislation were identified.

In addition, in the course of the current “landing” in the NRB, inspectors are most interested in documents related to the financing of humanitarian and media projects of the owner of the NRC Alexander Lebedev. Among them are the “New Gazeta”, the British The Independent and The Eventing Standard, the charity reserve fund, as well as the Gorbachev-Fund and the Raisa Gorbacheva Foundation.

Between “studying compliance with the requirements for the formation of mandatory reserves”, according to Simanovsky, and the search for mythical violations in financing humanitarian and charitable projects is a huge difference.
