
Three workers were hospitalized in serious condition from the construction site in the center of Moscow after falling from a height, a source in law enforcement agencies told Interfax on Sunday.
"On Saturday, an accident occurred on the construction of a large medical center on the new Arbat in the morning: the ladder stood on the 13th floor suddenly fell, while dropping three workers down, men flying several meters, fell on the balcony of the 11th floor. All three were hospitalized in serious condition," the agency’s interlocutor said. The workers were launched by the outer wall of the building.
In a 45-year-old visiting one from Tatarstan, doctors found a fracture of the pelvic bones, damage to the lumbar spine and traumatic shock. A 22-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan with a fracture of the spine, ribs, legs, with an open head injury, was taken to intensive care.
The personality of the third victim, in whom the doctors revealed a dislocation of the elbow joint, a fracture of the leg and shock, has not yet been established.
The issue of initiating a criminal case under the article "Violation of the Rules in the conduct of construction work, which entailed grave consequences, is being resolved.
