Canadian astronaut will perform several songs on the ISS

The Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield will take the guitar aboard the International Space Station and will perform several songs in orbit. One of them was written by his brother and is dedicated to those who rise on rockets into space.

In addition, he plans to conduct about 100 experiments, he will control the Canadarm-2 remote manipulator, and in his free time he intends to record the Cosmic Songs on the CD, the Voice of Russia reports.

The start of the Russian “Union” with the crew as part of the cosmonaut Roskosmos Roman Romanenko, the Canadian Chris Hadfield and the American astronaut Tom Marshman is scheduled for December this year.

In March 2013, Headfield will take the duties of the ISS crew commander, after the next expedition consisting of American Chris Cassidy and Russians Pavel Vinogradov and Alexander Misurkin arrived aboard.
