
In Moscow, two hackers were detained who organized a criminal group who conducted DDOS attacks, illegal hidden wiretapping and video surveillance, as well as hacking of Internet users' accounts. This was reported by the press service of the Office "K" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
According to investigators, for three years, attackers earned tens of millions of rubles, residents of the third of the regions of the country suffered from their actions. According to the police, in addition to the brothers, the group included a resident of the city of Almetyevsk in Tatarstan, who was engaged in unlawful access to computer information and was previously convicted of distribution of children's pornography.
Advertising of services was distributed through familiar members of the group, on the Internet, as well as through mailboxes and the distribution of advertising leaflets among motorists. In the group, increased conspiracy measures were observed, its participants resorted to the help of intermediaries during negotiations with customers.
The police conducted simultaneous searches with the organizers of the group in Moscow and in the apartment of the Almetyevsky member of the group. During the search, computers, digital information carriers with malicious software, printing of various organizations, special technical means for scanning radio frequencies and unspoken receipt of information were seized. At the place of residence of the group of the group in Almetyevsk, the investigators found a complete list of hacked electronic addresses, access time, logins, passwords, customer mail addresses, accounts for receiving money for a total of more than 10 million rubles, as well as the entire accounting of the group.
Investigative bodies have been instituted a criminal case under Art. 272 of the Criminal Code ("Unlawful access to computer information").
