Bortnikov ordered the FSB officers to get rid of property abroad

FSB officers must get rid of property registered abroad until December 1, 2012. The corresponding order signed by the director of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, was published on Friday in the Rossiyskaya Gazeta. The exception is property intended for "solving the problems of operational and service activities."

The order prescribes to military personnel and civil officers of the department within a month to report to the management of the availability of such property. The property of state security employees working outside the country should not be alienated, but only until returning to Russia. As soon as the work abroad is completed, the employee will have to get rid of property abroad during the year.

In addition, in case of inheritance of property registered abroad, the FSB officer must inform the head within ten days, and take measures to alienate within a year.

This order is valid for all employees of the department who have registered ownership of foreign property before the entry into force of Federal Law 241-ФЗ "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation" of July 18, 2011, which clarified the requirements for employees of the security bodies.

In November last year, the FSB decided to purchase 23 plasma and liquid crystal TVs, including the possibility of viewing 3D images. The department planned to pay about 9 million rubles for the entire batch, or on average 400 thousand rubles for each TV. The diagonals of Samsung, Panasonic and Sony TVs, which the FSB intends to buy, will be from 48 to 140 centimeters.
