Although the American horror-punk band The Misfits is not formally the founder of punk rock, almost every fan of this music probably has a T-shirt in their wardrobe with the band’s emblem - a blurred image of a human skull. In 1977, young gentlemen Glen, Jerry and Manny decided to name their team after The Misfits, Marilyn Monroe's last film. The future monster and titan Glen Danzig immediately rightly decided that singing punk should definitely be made up like a dead man, and from then on the Misfits are always identified by the frontman with a face smeared with white makeup, black shadows under the eyes and a long lock of hair falling from the forehead. This image did not change even when Glen Danzig left the group. Since 1995, bassist Jerry Only took the reins, who managed to preserve all its merits in the Misfits’ music and prove that it is no coincidence that the team from New Jersey is considered their teachers by Metallica, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Offspring, not to mention dozens of thrash metal and ska-punk bands. We will probably never see the classic Misfits line-up with Glen Danzig at the helm, but today drummer Eric Ertz and Dez Cadina, formerly the guitarist of the legendary hardcore band Black Flag, are playing here. They perform, of course, classics from the early Misfits, and compositions from other albums, in particular, "The Devil's Rain", released last year after a 12-year break. Moreover, the veterans play such a fast and aggressive variety of punk that the audience, as eyewitnesses of their performances testify, do not always even have time to make any rhythmic body movements, but for the most part simply look in fascination at the patriarchs of the style. In short, fans of the genre can expect a show that is outstanding in intensity and quality.
