Explosion in Astrakhan: Nine -story buildings collapsed

Four people, including a child, suffered in an explosion of gas in a nine -story residential building in Astrakhan. According to RIA Novosti, this was announced by the head of the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies Inna Antipova. A message about gas explosion was received at 13.10. According to preliminary data, nine floors hit in the second entrance, only 18 apartments. “Four people were injured, one of them is one child,” said Antipova. According to a source in the power structures of the region, repair work was carried out on the ground floor of the entrance. 106 people and 35 units of equipment were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the explosion. According to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the region, the gas exploded in a store located on the ground floor of the house.

The investigation has already opened a criminal case of violation of safety rules during construction work, resulting in the death of two or more persons, the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the Astrakhan Region reports. The guilty can face up to seven years of imprisonment.
