The head of the "shadow CIA" warned that in the publisher WikiLeaks, Stratfor could be fake documents

The chief of the American intelligence and analytical company Strategic Forecasting Inc. (Stratfor), which the media is called the "shadow CIA", George Friedman called illegal publication by the WikiLeaks site for his company and the tradition of publicity of the correspondence of its employees. Friedman said that fakes and a distorted interpretation can be in the published materials, but Stratfor is not going to give specific explanations for each of these cases.

"Some excerpts from the published electronic correspondence can be false or distorted due to inaccuracies. Some may be real," the video message of the founder and general director of Stratfor received at RIA Novosti said.

On Monday, Wikileaks began publishing information contained in electronic letters of the company's employees written by them from July 2009 to December 2011. These letters reveal the principles of Stratfor, as well as a number of persons who make up or constituted the agent network of the corporation.

Some media, referring to WikiLeaks materials, claimed that the General Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika was among the StratFor informants. The Russian department called these publications a provocation and "delirium".

“We will neither confirm nor refute the reliability of the released correspondence fragments. We will also not explain what we had in mind (in intra -corporate correspondence). Our property was stolen, and we do not want to become twice injured when we are asked about the content of the documents stolen from us,” Friedman said. According to him, the publication on the WikiLeak website electronic correspondence of Stratfor employees is a direct attack on this company.

Friedman apologized to his partners, analysts, experts and users in connection with the actions of WikiLeaks, but assured that as the head of the expert center, he is proud that he is building his forecasts on data legally received from authoritative sources and experts in different countries. According to him, contacts with information sources are built "on the highest professional and ethical standards."

Friedman emphasized that Stratfor is a private analytical company that has nothing to do with state structures.

Stratfor is engaged in collecting and analyzing information about events in the world. The information comes to them both from the media and other open sources, and from the own closed sources of the company. Part of the results of the work of this organization is given public, however, a significant part of the information that it has is confidential.

Among the customers of Stratfor are the US National Security Department, the American Marine Corps, as well as such well -known American corporations as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.
