And democracy, in Putin, should be, but its task is specific. “Of course, we must strengthen the institutions of democracy, and so that these democratic institutions make our statehood invulnerable to any shocks, so that this statehood is stable, guaranteeing us sovereignty,” is just like that. That is, democracy - it then, so that statehood is strengthened.

Putin also promised democratization, but mainly at the local level. “Local referendums, mass surveys, including via the Internet, should become a way of constant feedback between the authorities and society. This is an extremely important tool, it is already applied to us, including when adopting some laws it has been effectively applied, in fact, it has already been tested, and we will expand this practice, ”the candidate shared plans for the future.

But the main thing for Russia is patriotism. “Together we need to find something that is a unification factor for the whole, as I have already said repeatedly, a multinational, but a single Russian nation. I see nothing else except patriotism, ”the prime minister believes.

Of course, the candidate was forced to answer the question of why he is returning to the presidential post.

From the lengthy and rather vague response of Vladimir Putin, we could conclude that his return was a consequence of the fact that he wants to do much for the country what he did not have time to do in the previous years. And critics should not be worried about Putin’s long rule - Helmut Kohl in Germany as many as 16 years of rules and nothing.

And Putin sees the purpose of his work in that the “planning horizon of each particular person, family and the entire state is such that we, in medium -term and in a distant historical perspective, feel confident.”

As long as the only guarantor of such a “planning horizon” (strictly speaking, there was no “horizon for the long -term perspective” over the years of Putin’s rule, and everything was done in the expression of the prime minister “on a living thread”, that is, in the highest degree of situation, but these are trifles), according to Putin, Putin himself is a “guarantor of stability” from us (and we, from it). This, of course, is a stretch, but it seems that in the Putin system Putin should rule forever.
