Romny won another victory for republican primaries in the United States

Ex-Governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romny won another victory over other US presidential candidates from the Republican Party based on voting at the voters' meetings in Vaiming, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the media participating in the vote count, Romny received the support of 39% of voters. Voting in various state districts took place throughout February and ended on Wednesday.

In second place is the former Senator Rick Santorum with 33%. The third and fourth places went to the Congressman Ron Paul (20%) and the ex-spiker of the House of Representatives of Newt Gingrich (8%).

In total, more than two thousand people took part in the vote, which is not so few for the state with the smallest population, which are a little more than 500 thousand people.

On the eve of Romny won the preliminary elections (primaries) in Arizona and Michigan . The results of the primaries in these states were not a surprise and confirm that Romny returned the leadership in the intra -party race after a series of defeats in the primaries in the states of Missouri, Minnesot and Colorado.

Initially, the election campaign began in January, six famous Republican candidates and one candidate of democrats (the current president of Barack Obama) entered the election campaign. To date, only four candidates from the Republican Party continue the campaign: a moderate politician Romni, a conservative and populist Gingrich, a congressman with a Libertarian program Paul and Conservative Santorum. For Obama Santorum, a less dangerous opponent in the national elections due to his ultra -conservativeness.
