The resonance of the week was the results of the meeting of the index committee of the Ukrainian Exchange, at which it was decided to exclude from the UX index the shares of the Stirol concern (a drop of 11.38% over the week), Yasinovsky Coke (-10.67%), and Ukrtelecom. (-3.08%), Stakhanovsky (-9.26%) and Kryukovsky (6.58%) carriage works. “As a result of the withdrawal of securities, their liquidity will significantly decrease, since they will become less interesting for large institutional investors,” said IG TASK analyst Vyacheslav Ivanishin. According to IG Socrates analyst Elena Khodakovskaya, this week investors will monitor data on eurozone GDP for the fourth quarter, the US labor market for February and the ECB's interest rate decision. Yesterday, the presidential elections of the Russian Federation took place, the results of which may cause increased instability on Russian stock markets, which was observed after the parliamentary elections in December 2011.
