Quarter of the population

When Putin talks about a clear victory, he is disingenuous, even if he does not remember the falsifications and pressure on voters. The data that is available now indicates 64% of the votes, 45% of the ballots have been processed. In absolute terms, Putin’s result is slightly less than 16 million votes, that is, if in the end there are also 64% of 100% of voters, that’s 35 million. The country's population is about 140 million, so only a quarter of citizens voted for Putin. If we count only those who have the right to vote, and there are 108 million of them, then slightly less than a third voted for GDP.

Let the experts judge the reasons for the rather low turnout (56%, in the last elections it was almost 70%), but I will assume that many simply don’t care. They were convinced that Putin would win, so they do not consider it necessary to come and vote for anyone: if they like Vladimir Vladimirovich, he will cope without them, and if someone else, he will still not overcome the GB veteran.
