After many years of leadership, Opera first lost the title of the most popular mobile web browser in the world. The “native” Android browser, still not having a separate name, claims to be the status of a leader in the software for watching web pages. According to the STAT Counter website, in February of this year, Android overtook Opera Mobile, gaining 23 % of the world market users, which is 1.5 % more than that of the former leader. For this figure, Google has been going on for almost a year - it was 14 percentage points more than that in February 2011. On the way to world dominance, the browser focusing mainly on mobile devices and tablets probably lured into its ranks of the owners of Blackberry and Nokia. Despite this, Opera continues to hold on to her course, relying on stable 21% of customers in his pocket, while Safari is gaining momentum. By the end of February, the browser, designed for the iPhone mobile device, has already captured more than 20% of the market. If you call a spade a spade, there are 3 leaders at the market of mobile browsers, who are separated from each other, some 1.5%.

If you build assumptions about the future, it becomes clear: the browser that has now taken to the leaders, most likely, will be fixed on the pedestal. Over the past two years, one could notice an unprecedented increase in the popularity of the Android operational system. In November 2011, about 200 million devices were activated at its base around the world. About 500,000 are added to this figure daily.
Well, in Russia it is far from such revolutions: Opera still remains an unconditional leader with a market share of almost 66%. Safari's second place - with 12%. Android is only the third on the list - with 11% of users.
