Putin: Prokhorov could work in the government

The ex-candidate for president Mikhail Prokhorov could work in the new government, Vladimir Putin told reporters on Wednesday. "Mikhail Dmitrievich is a serious person, an entrepreneur is good, in principle, he could be in demand in the government if he himself wants," Interfax quotes Putin. After the election, Prokhorov himself said that he would not accept any posts in the government.

Putin added that on Wednesday evening he would talk with the current President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev about the future composition of the government. "Tonight, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow we will discuss these topics with Dmitry Anatolyevich," Putin said.

He said that the presidential administration is unlikely to wait for serious personnel changes. “Here Surkov moved to the government,” Putin recalled. The head of the administration, Sergei Ivanov, will retain his post, Putin said: "Why not? I know him for a long time, he is a very experienced person."

On Monday, Prokhorov performed at a rally on Pushkinskaya Square. Earlier on the same day, he visited the meeting of Vladimir Putin with rivals in the elections.
