The prime minister did not rule out the return of the "May holidays" already in 2013

The Prime Minister and future President of Russia Vladimir Putin did not exclude that the decision to transfer part of the holidays from the New Year to the May holidays will be implemented next year, Interfax reports.

At the first press conference, after the presidential election, Vladimir Putin said that he agreed to transfer the holidays that Russians “walking” after Christmas, to May holidays. “This year it will not work,” said Vladimir Putin.

“The current May holidays will still have to take off in the old way, because the Christmas are already walking away,” he explained.

In early February, Vladimir Putin proposed to consider the possibility of reducing the New Year and Christmas holidays until January 7 (Orthodox Christmas).
