The decision of Teresa May caused an ambiguous reaction of the public. British human rights activists say that the process of mutual issuing suspects between the United States and the UK is a "one -way street."

In addition, the judicial system in the United States is more strict than in the UK, so the British in America face more severe punishment than in their homeland.

O'Duyer in 2007 created the website tvshack.net. With it, Internet users could switch to other sites to watch films and television programs for free.

This site was closed last year at the request of American law enforcement agencies. The United States also demanded from the British authorities the issuance of a student.

His lawyers say that their client did not violate the copyright of the creators of films and programs, since their records were not posted on his website. According to them, the O'Dueer website only helped to find “pirate” films on the Internet, just as they can be found using Internet search engines, such as, for example, Google.

O'Duyer admits that he posted advertising on his website, but did this to pay for his studies at the university.

Investigators from the United States claim that the British student website was a very profitable business. According to the American side, by the sale of advertising, the Briton earned 230 thousand dollars.

The case of O'Duyer is only one of the whole people like him. The indignation of the British community is caused by US attempts to achieve the issuance of the British programmer Gary McKinnon , suffering from Asperger's syndrome - a variety of autism. He hacked the computer networks of the US Department of Defense and NASA in order to find evidence of the existence of UFOs.
