You peer into these pictures - and do not immediately comprehend their meaning.
We remember terrorist attacks in Russia, in all their diversity, with riddles and misunderstandings, as Shamil Basaev put it. The suspects were judged and sentenced, the convicts died in prisons, suffocating terrorists in Dubrovka finished off special forces, and this caused complex feelings, but we never had this. So that people openly, even defiantly expressed sorrow in the dead "villains." So that the mysterious puman lives to the house where the mysterious Puman is there, the ravings of the ranging, if it existed at all, was carried by white roses and red carnations. It never occurred to it.
The Belarusian phenomenon is worthy of research.
Firstly, the death penalty inspires disgust, and Belarus is the only state in Europe where this highest measure of social protection has not yet been canceled. The message that two young people, even the criminals, were in cold blood in prison, is horrified, and for this you do not have to be a fundamental opponent of a legalized murder or remember about the sixth commandment. There is something laid down in human nature, which opposes the execution.
Secondly, too many questions are raising the process in the case of Kovalev and Konovalov. This strange terrorist attack, as absurd as monstrous - without obvious motives and goals. These strange suspects, some kind of self-taught chemists who are completely different from terrorists. This strange, instant capture, literally the day after the explosion. This strange court, at the end of which shouts sounded in the hall: “Shame!”, “The executioners!”, But not at the address of the sentenced killers. In shame, investigators, judge and prosecutors were stamped.
Thirdly, the Lukashenko factor is extremely important. This is also called a “reputation”, and when the father, metaphorically wringing his hands, states that the most difficult occupation in his life is work with suicide bombers who turn to him with a request for pardon, then there is no need to be Stanislavsky so as not to believe. But the versions related to his, so to speak, politics, deserve unconditional confidence. Both internal and external.
Inside Belarus, he consistently overtakes fears, driving compatriots into the heads that their president is worse than any crisis. This is facilitated by the “black lists” of the Lesser Belarusians, which directly contradicts the law, and the psychology of the besieged fortress imposed by citizens, and the general atmosphere of suffocating insanity. And the more clearly he realizes his absolute power in a small country and absolute loneliness in the world, the more fierce.
As for the foreign policy, the picture is exactly the opposite: it is scary to Alexander Grigoryevich himself. The West had already declared a cold war to him, the matter reached the recall of ambassadors, and the East, in the person of a partner in the Union State, is kindly and patiently awaiting when the completely bankrupt Belarus will sell all the more or less valuable assets that de facto will mean the loss of independence and joining Russia. Together with or without Old Man - not fundamentally. Against this background of anxiety about the transfer of world hockey championship from Belarus to some other, not so exotic country, they look already quite justified, but small. Lukashenko loses in a large way, more than ever in his life, and it is already not clear who can come to his aid. Games in a multi -vector policy, with throwing to the west and east, ended and are no longer interested in anyone.
Still, it is creepy-to be the last European dictator.
It can also be assumed that he himself does not know who organized a terrorist attack in the Minsk metro, even if we believe that last week the performer and accomplice were executed. And this is more sad for him than anyone he suspected: the environment from the special services, friends from the East or the Fifth Column. However, you can’t change the character at the age of 57, and Lukashenko again demonstrates the only thing that is capable of: coolness and adamance. He again scares the world and Belarusians, refusing to have mercy on two young people, and reports of executions are published almost immediately after he makes his final decision on the terrorist attack.
And at the house where one of the executed lived, flowers are and candles burn. The police drag them, the flowers appear again, and the authorities have to organize constant duty. This is such a riot in Belarusian: candles and flowers in memory of young people, about whom it is definitely not known whether they are criminals or not. Everything is known only about Lukashenko, but in this knowledge there is so much sorrow for his fellow citizens that it seems as if laying flowers, they mourn themselves.
