The Ukrainian military repelled an attack on a radar station in Kharkov: there are victims from both sides

In Ukraine, a criminal case has been instituted on the fact of an attack on the guard of the military unit of the radio engineering forces. In a shootout near the radar station, one soldier and one attacker were killed.

The head of the guard, with the rank of senior lieutenant and senior soldier, were injured, UNIAN reports with reference to the public relations department of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Kharkov region.

According to the police, the attack on the guard was committed on Thursday at about 4:00 in order to seize weapons. However, the attack was repelled, reports Reuters. At the same time, a 33-year-old attacker was shot dead, and his 42-year-old accomplice was detained. Both criminals are the inhabitants of Kharkov.

“Now both the wounded is a medical care. Their state of health is satisfactory,” the Ukrainian Truth quotes the head of the public relations department of the Kharkov Military District, Larisa Volkova.

The Investigative Department of the Dzerzhinsky District Department of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (deliberate murder). Criminals are facing a punishment in the form of 15 years in prison or lifelong imprisonment.
