Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, head of the Synodal Department for Church and Society Relations, today met with lawyers for girls suspected of participating in the punk band Pussy Riot, Interfax reports . According to the archpriest himself, he, as a priest, is ready to talk with the suspects, but the pre-trial detention center where the girls are kept feeds the clergy of the Nikolo-Perervinsky monastery. However, if the Moscow diocese considers that the archpriest can help them, then he will gladly do it.
